Shore Joseph Koenig, Sr. Training Center is a vocational program supporting persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities ages 16 years and older.

Objectives of the program include.

  • Enhance the individual’s ability to obtain and maintain employment.
  • Provide employment services.
  • Maintaining job performance and improve job-related skills to maximize earning potential.

The center utilizes community job sites and subcontract work from local industries to prepare individuals for employment.

Program hours are 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The Training Center operates on a year-round schedule during regular daytime hours.

Individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities 16 years and older.

Intake Process

  • Initial tour of program
  • Completion of Intake Packet
  • Intake Interview
  • Submission of admission information i.e. Psychological, Physical, Education, Program Plan, etc.

Ticket to Work

Shore’s Joseph Koenig, Sr. Training Center is an Employment Network (EN) for the Ticket to Work Program, which provides most people receiving Social Security benefits (beneficiaries) more choices for receiving employment services. Under this program, the Social Security Administration (SSA) issues tickets to eligible beneficiaries who, in turn, may choose to assign those tickets to an Employment Network (EN) of their choice to obtain employment services, vocational rehabilitation services, or other support services necessary to achieve a vocational (work) goal. The EN, if they accept the ticket, will coordinate and provide appropriate services to help the beneficiary find and maintain employment.  If you have a Ticket and you are interested in being considered for assistance with gaining community employment call Anni Braverman, Rehabilitation Coordinator, at (847) 581-0200 x 33.


1) Program Manager/QIDP Position available at Shore Koenig Training Center  in Morton Grove, IL

Basic Computer skills including WORD and internet

Excellent written and communication skills

Good organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as a team

Must meet qualifications for QIDP certification

A minimum of one year direct care experience with individuals with developmental disabilities

BA required


Shore Koenig Training Center is looking for a qualified candidate to provide case management for adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in the vocational program. Supervise and train 4 DSP staff. Develop Individual program Plans. Schedule and lead team meetings. Provide group coverage during DSP absence. Work schedule is generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
