Our Heritage Our Future

In 2013, Shore launched a capital campaign to find a new home for our Adult Services Program, which provides adaptive daily living and pre-vocational skills to nearly 90 adults with individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.   For more than a half century, this program was located at the Lois Lloyd Center in Evanston and in July of 2016 the program relocated to a newly renovated first floor of a facility in Skokie that also houses our administrative offices.

Our new home consists of 9 group rooms, an Adaptive Daily Living Room, Sensory Rooms, an accessible kitchen and multi-purpose room and enables our staff to continue to serve amazing individuals.  It has room to grow, which will enable us to open our doors to more individuals who need our services.

At Shore, we are proud of a heritage of over 65 years of service, but we are focused on the future.  For more information on ways you can make an impact on and an investment in our future, contact Mary Matz, Director of Development, at (847) 982-2030 ext. 221 or e-mail at mmatz@shoreservices.org.
